Take a self-guided photo tour
There are so many great photo spots in Banff National Park. My favorites include the Fairmont Banff Springs view, Lake Minnewanka and Fairview Lookout. Johnston Canyon is also a favorite. Vermillion Lakes are another.

A hike through Johnston Canyon is an absolute must-do on a Banff visit. This easy hike will take you to the Ink Pots, Horseshoe Bend and Lower Falls.
You can hire a guide to take you on a mountain adventure while staying at Lake Louise. My guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We hiked from Fairview Lookout to the Chateau.
Lake Louise: Explore
It doesn’t matter what season it is, Lake Louise will always be a highlight of any trip. You can rent a kayak and take to the water or hike along one of the many trails that the area has to offer. You can also take a walk on the lake, or use ice skates.
You will also find beautiful waterfalls to the side of Lake Louise. As you leave Fairmont Lake Louise, the first waterfall will be to your right. The second waterfall will be at the lake’s back once the main path ends.
Go on a Gondola Ride
Did you know that Lake Louise and Banff have their own Gondolas as well? Both offer stunning views and great photography opportunities.
